Sedation Dentistry

Just because you have a busy schedule doesn’t mean you should have to deal with tooth pain. Delaying a trip to the dentist doesn’t forestall the decay.  New sedation dentistry procedures can literally reverse years of postponed dental treatments-with no pain or anxiety.

If you are among the millions of people who are afraid to go to the dentist, you no longer have to put your oral health at risk because of that fear.  Once you’ve experienced sedation dentistry under the careful and experienced watch of Dr. Meisner and his team, you’ll be a true believer in the process.

With sedation dentistry, you’ll be comfortably sedated, as though you were relaxing.  And although this type of sedation doesn’t “knock you out” like traditional anesthesia, you won’t feel or remember a thing.  With the proper planning, multiple dental procedures can possibly be completed in only a single visit. You’ll wake up feeling rested, refreshed, and satisfied knowing that your smile has been completely restored to its natural health.

Unlike older methods of sedation, modern medicine helps us make you even more comfortable, and when your procedure is finished, you won’t have felt a thing.  You’ll be given a small pill to take an hour before your appointment. Once you arrive at our office with a companion, you will be very drowsy, and relaxed. For the benefit of our patients, we have designed a comfort room, where you will be escorted to have your treatment. Once there, you will be connected to a monitor to watch your vital signs and ensure your safety. We provide you with a warm, thick blanket and make sure your experience with our highly trained dental team is relaxing, and pleasant.

After finishing your treatment, your companion will return you home to finish the rest of your day, refreshed, relaxed, and comforted by the thought of your improved dental health.

Without needles, tubes, or the memory of your experience at our offices, your visit is sure to be comfortable. The anticipation and anxiety associated with multiple painful dentist visits is no longer a concern. The sedation will relax you for about five or six hours.  It reduces stress, and ensures that your experience here will be strictly beneficial to your health.
